Using Wealtho
These are the rules for using the Wealtho app. By opening an account you agree to them. Please read them, they are short.
You must be at least 18 and resident in Nigeria, and the details you give us must be your own. One person, one account.
Your PIN and your phone
Your six digit PIN is how you prove it is you. Keep it to yourself. Anything done with your PIN counts as done by you.
If you think someone else knows your PIN, change it in the app straight away, or contact support and we will lock the account.
Face ID and fingerprint sign-in are a convenience on your phone. They release your PIN from your phone's secure hardware; they do not replace it.
Buckets, seals and interest
Money that arrives in your Wealtho account is split into buckets by the percentages you set. You can change the split at any time your balances are zero.
A seal locks a bucket until a date or a target balance. While sealed, the money cannot be spent or moved. Sealed money earns interest at the rate shown in the app when you set the seal, paid when the seal completes.
You can break a seal early. If you do, 10% of that bucket's balance is forfeited, and the app shows you the exact amount before you confirm. Interest earned up to that point is still paid.
Pooled savings
A pooled savings group is money saved together with people you invite. Every member can see the balance and activity. Money only leaves the pool when enough members agree, under the rules the group set.
In a rotating group (an ajo), each member pays the same amount each round and receives the pot in turn. An ajo does not earn interest.
You are responsible for who you invite. Wealtho does not settle disputes between members.
Transfers and limits
A transfer you confirm with your PIN is final. Check the recipient's name and account number before you confirm; the app shows the name the bank returns.
Daily and per transfer limits apply, set by you in the app within the limits your verification level allows. Your verification level also sets a maximum balance.
Fees
The only charges are the ones shown in the app before you confirm an action, including the 10% early seal break. We will tell you in the app before any new fee applies.
What you must not do
Use Wealtho for anything illegal, to move money for someone else, or to get around identity checks.
Try to break into, copy, or interfere with the app or our systems.
If we reasonably believe you have, we may suspend or close your account and report it where the law requires.
Closing your account
You can delete your account from the menu at any time once your balances are zero, your seals are open and you have left any pooled savings groups.
We may close an account that has been misused or that the law requires us to close. Any money in it remains yours and will be returned to you.
Our responsibility
We will run Wealtho with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by you sharing your PIN, by instructions you confirmed, or by events outside our control such as a bank or network being unavailable.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
